Summertime Pasta Special Supper Club in Old Street
Our next event is on Friday, July 19th! This London supper club will be held at one of our lovely partner venues in Clerkenwell, right by Old Street in East Central London.
Join us in celebrating the abundance of seasonal produce and the delicious simplicity of traditional Italian cooking. We will focus on balancing unpretentious, fresh summer flavours and making something indulgent from scratch with just a few quality ingredients, under the supervision of chef Em. We’ll start the evening with a welcome drink and snacks before guiding you through the culinary processes of making our meal – and especially the Cavatelli pasta- before nestling down together to enjoy the fruits of our labour.
Cavatelli is a popular traditional Southern Italian pasta. Believed to be created in the 16th century, it’s loved due to its excellent sauce catching ability. It looks a bit like a shell, trapping the sauce in its hollow part. The name in Italian means “little hollows”!
Unlike typical London cooking classes or supper clubs, we offer a hands-on approach taught by professionals from London’s kitchens. You’ll learn professional cooking techniques and tricks of the trade alongside enjoying nibbles and drinks. Then, we’ll all relax and savour the delicious meal we’ve created together.
Whether you’re looking to expand your social circle or sharpen your knife skills in a fun and welcoming environment, our doors are open.
Supporting Our Community
This event is organised by Eat Club, a youth charity that works with London’s finest chefs to improve young people’s relationship with food. All proceeds from this event will directly support our community food programmes.
Super fun and well organised Interesting group of people to cook with – I went on my own and felt totally relaxed with the friendly hosts and other guests. Informative and you get to cook everything from scratch which is important to me. Would go again.
Our team of professional chefs come from a diverse range of London kitchens, many from renowned establishments such as Ottolenghi in Islington, Padella in London Bridge, Perilla in Newington Green, Darling’s in Hackney Wick, and The Gate. They share their passion and expertise with the next generation of young Londoners, through leading our cooking programmes, or by lending their talents to host our supper clubs in London. Check out our team page to learn more about them!
