A youth food charity in London empowering young people through cooking and food education
We run weekly hands-on cooking sessions for young people, using food as a tool to improve health, combat social isolation, and boost employability. Led by professional chefs, our programmes teach practical cooking skills while growing independence, creativity, and confidence.
Beyond our weekly sessions, we also run hospitality focused courses with industry experience and cooking sessions for parents with children.
Our purpose…
Our purpose is to empower young Londoners to become confident, resilient individuals who make a positive impact in their communities. We do this by sharing the skills to cook nutritious meals and the joy of eating together, fostering independence and healthy habits for life.
We believe that delicious wholesome food, prepared from scratch and eaten together can help young people lead happier, healthier lives. We apply this same ethos to our supper clubs and bespoke events.
Our food education and cooking courses…
Improve Wellbeing
We teach healthy cooking skills for lifelong physical and mental wellbeing, building young people’s confidence in the kitchen and beyond.
Combat Social Isolation
We encourage teamwork, communication, and friendship through shared meals and community events.
Develop Life Skills
We equip young people with budgeting, meal planning, and cooking skills for independence.
Enhance Employment Horizons
We provide career guidance, transferable skills, and industry connections.

Who we work with
Eat Club supports vulnerable youth in London, including NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) individuals, PRU (Pupil Referral Units) students, refugees, young carers, and those facing homelessness. These young people often experience food poverty, poor nutrition, and limited opportunities. Our programmes aim to empower them to break the cycle of disadvantage and build better futures.
“The Eat Club sessions have been amazing. The chefs [session leaders] have been so much fun and very interactive with the young people… they make the young people feel really comfortable and at ease and just make them feel confident to test out all their cooking skills.”
Jordan, Youth Worker at Mary’s Youth Club in Islington
Where we work
We partner with youth centres, food and homelessness charities, schools, and community centres to reach those in need. Collaborating with local food businesses, like Caravan and Dusty Knuckle, we offer hands-on experience and industry exposure to expand employment opportunities for young people.

Lastly, the most important part; we are all different, have different stories and some of us come from different countries but with the cookery class, there is no difference. We are the same. We cook, we chat and we eat together. It makes me feel like I am with my family.”
Participant at DePaul, Youth Homelessness Charity
The work that Eat Club is doing to ensure that they have that foundation is really critical and really important, so that’s why we picked [to fund] Eat Club.”
