After eight weeks of cooking delicious food with the small but dedicated group of young adults at the Copenhagen Youth Project we have begun the course with the next group of under 15 year-olds. The come in to the kitchen on Thursday evenings after some intense football training. Still full of energy they all fill up the little kitchen ready to cook.
We started slightly untraditionally with a session of cake-making. Variations on a basic sponge recipe with different icings and toppings. Great results for a first session. The sessions to follow were more in line with the Eat Club course. We managed to cook delicious pizzas during our last session despite the fact that it was almost as hot in the kitchen as in the ovens…. We are now half-way through the course and hoping for continued enthusiasm from the group!
